Once you are happy with the site layouts and pages, your site is finished and uploaded on to your hosting area ready for display to the world.

A final step that I do for you is to ensure that the entire site is optimised for finding by the big search engines. This an area that is shrouded in mystery by some (often unscrupulous) businesses who promise high search engine rankings by, you guessed it, giving them extra money! The whole SEO area is not ‘black magic’ but involves common sense techniques and experience to get your site ‘up there’ in the rankings. An often forgotten method is to ensure that the web site title tags and the content itself contains key words that searchers are looking for in relation to your business.

If minor alterations are required over the next few weeks – again, no problem. I believe that you should be completely happy with your web site before it is considered ‘finished’. Remember, you also have free update hours included in most hosting/update packages.
