Deciding what you want on your site and supplying text & photos can often be the stumbling block for many people when they embark on putting up a new web site – but it is an area that Seriously Simple Sites excels at. Using your ideas and supplied photos and business description, we can come up with good site ‘copy’ and layouts together.Photos plus text equals website | Web sites for Small Business Australia

If you don’t have a business logo or suitable photos, this can be arranged for you too. Some contribution from you is essential if you want the site to reflect your business accurately, but it doesn’t have to be a painful process!

At this point you will be given an estimate of the time and cost required to build your website.  I don’t usually provide quotes for clients unless I am specifically asked to do so – why? – doing so means that I have to add significantly to my estimated fees to ensure that any additional extra work will be covered. Nine times out of ten once we embark on the site building process, the client asks for additional features or changes anyway and so for this reason, I usually work on an hourly rate basis. My estimates are accurately based on what I am asked to do initially and so far, I haven’t had any problems with this arrangement and clients have commented very favourably about the final cost of their sites.

You may have been told that you can get a web site for ‘next to nothing’ and that there are many cheap design companies out there to choose from. The reality is that the majority of good Australian web designers charge between $1000-$2000 for a web site and often more.

As I have already mentioned, using database driven sites can significantly reduce the time required to create a site and I am able to pass this saving on to you. For more information about the pitfalls of cheap web design, read my article getting it right first time.nextstep
